I want one! Too bad both my knitting and crocheting skills are, well, non-existent.
Hi, everyone!
I've been talking about it for a while, but never got around to actually posting a photo of it, so here goes. I did post it, but since I can't get photos to post, here's a link to the shot in my album-

Show me yours, please?

I need to commission one and get the guts to wear it; they don't go with my usual style!
Angela_Rose, you look so cute in that!
Finally at knee, with a new quest for thick ends!

This knitted one was made for me by a fellow LHCer (EllisGurl, you rawk):
And this is one (of MANY) I made for myself:
These are fantabulous! I can crochet very basic stuff, but I don't know how to read patterns or knit... I really want one of these though. Do you guys know of any websites or anything that teaches knitting or how to read crochet patterns? Thanks folks! This is great for the winter.
It's very basic. I use all double crochet for mine, abbreviated dc. Just start out with 3 DCs, then increase number of stitches by 2 in each row until it is wide enough. Continue, as you would a scarf, those same number of stitches, until it's long enough (this might take some practice). Then decrease by 2 in each row until you're back down to 3 stitches. Basically, it will look like a rectangle with a triangle on each end. Add your button and voila!
Here is my calorimetry from a couple of years ago. I love them. It's a lavender alpaca yarn. I'm not sure how well the color shows up on line.
I am not here to decorate your world
Thanks, gals! They all look great!
Carolyn, that lavender is lovely. Very subtle, on my monitor, anyway, but very pretty!

Would anyone be willing to make one for me? I will not get to it, I quilt but do not knit or crochet. Might be an idea for an Etsy vendor, too. I love this idea, especially with the cold Ohio winters. PM me if interested, ok?
