I don't know if this will help you but I get these at the drugstore and then decorate them. They are really nice because they don't damage my hair. A small can hold a pony for me, and a large can hold the center of a bun in my hair.
I've never owned one single decent barrette. The ones I do use, always fall out because my hair is so baby fine.
I think my best option is to order something off the net so I am hoping you great ladies have a link for me!
Thanks!

Change is the only constant.
These hold like a rock http://www.etsy.com/shop/northwestgo...ion_id=5214196. I have baby fine hair.

The Goody ouchless barrettes are great. They come in 2 sizes and are all in once piece so there isn't anything to snag the hair.
If you have trouble getting clips to stay in your hair, before you put the clip in, try gently twisting some of the hair in each side and then join the twisted hair strands with the rest of the hair when you clip.
My mother has superfine thin hair and the only things that work properly are flexi-8s

I have very fine hair also, and I've never had much trouble with French clips, especially the modestly sized ones.
