Every time I use it
Once a week or so
Once a month or so
Whenever it gets too full of hair to use

I voted every time, but it's complicated since I usually finger comb and only occasionally use a very wide tooth comb which wouldn't be able to retain the hairs anyway. But I guess since I don't leave the hairs twined around my fingers, it's every time? Also picked that option since I always compulsively want to de-hair the brushes and combs of others if I notice a bunch of hair in them.

I voted everytime...but if I'm in a hurry I just throw my brush down and go..but then I will de-hair it before I use the brush again.
I clean them every time but mostly because it is a habit I developed when I started saving hair to make rats. (It's been over a year and I probably have enough to make rats but I haven't decided what kind I want!)

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*
About once a week. I'm lazy- I let to get clogged up with it and then take it all out.

Every time! I couldn't stand the hairs on the tools, I see them every time I open my cupboard. To me it's just a mess that needs to be cleaned. Like washing a glass or a plate after using it.
I do it every time, too.
Every time I use it, which is once a day. I also give it a quick wash too. A clean brush keeps my hair cleaner. Why put a linty brush on your hair day after day?
Also, a dehaired brush performs better than one clogged with hair.
If I don't take it out every time, it will hang off the brush and end up on the counter/floor the next time I brush. There's enough hair on the floor already, which is a subject for another thread.
I mostly use a wide tooth bone comb (teeth are 1/4" apart) to detangle my hair. Like, pretty much that is it (I was using a Tangle Teezer but recently switched to comb or finger detangling only). I manage to get hairs all wrapped around it and the only way to get them off is cut or pull til it snaps. I HAAATTEE the sound of snapping hair but I do it anyway because it is faster than cutting.
