Default Is the "circlet" coming back?

I bought this in New Look the other day:

and then found an identical one in International for about half the price and one on ASOS for slightly more. It is a "Grecian Disc Headband" and I think it's really pretty :0) Now, how do I wear it? Besides the obvious draped-over-loose hair look?

Anyone know of any good styles?

I have actually never seen one of these. "Circlet" makes me think of a sort of crown, just something that goes around your head, without that middle part.
But wow, is that neat! I don't particularly like the one you've found, but I find the idea really interesting. I'd go for this kind and take it out at costume/fancy dress parties or weddings/Christmas stuff/whatever. It's just so shiny. I like shiny.
As for how to wear it, well, I'm at a loss there. Is there any other way to wear it?
I can see it as a nice accent for a half-up/half-down style, maybe something like two microbraids starting from the hairline joined together at the back of your head, but... It's already an accessory, so I think any "real" style/updo would make the whole thing too heavy.
Also, no way is that going to fit right over a dutch braid.
It would look just plain weird with a bun in my opinion...

Maybe it could add a princess-y touch to a cage braid?

... I really don't know, will be keeping an eye on this thread.

I agree that it would look nice with a cage braid or mermaid braid or really any kind of loose braid

I tend to use this method

I would go with a simple or loose braid style. Awesome find. Both headbands are beautiful!

    Can I call this hip?

I like weaving accent braids and twists (and sometimes just a strand of hair) around my circlets. But mine are usually swirly wire. I can see wrapping that around a bun or using it to accent a crown braid as well.

I'd say crown braids or something similar to it.

I love these. I sure hope circlets and things of the like are coming back in fashion. Then again, I also love to be the odd one out in a crowd.
