(Another way to get more gelatin in your diet is to make your own stocks for soups and just plain drinking. This is the basis she is coming from, but I can't manage to get gelatin purely from stocks. So powdered gelatin it is!)

I can't find the article I read about gelatin for dogs, but if you think about it, they would have naturally gotten it in their daily diet anyways. Most dog foods are now grain based and lack the nutrients they would otherwise get out in the wild.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the links! Haven't had the time yet to look into it but I appreciate the effort. Maybe today... (I like to Google extensively myself)

    But 5 pounds?? For what?

    Anything! LOL

I like buying in bulk; things are always cheaper that way. I planned on taking it myself, along with my dog, and any other family members. Not to mention for foods, and now topical beauty treatments.

Gelatain an be store for "virtually forever", if kept dry and out of direct sunlight. :P

FYI, I got my gelatin today and will update this board one in a while with any noticed results.

So, I did a topical gelatin treatment last Friday.

I made a tea of clove and rosemary, then used about 1 cup of it and 1 teaspoon of beef gelatin, warmed till the gelatin melted, then cooled till comfortable to touch.
I put that into a spray bottle and used that to apply it all over my hair and scalp till saturated.
Wrapped my hair around my head, then wrapped it all up with cling wrap and left it for an hour.
It rinsed out easily and I then applied a SMT with my Aussie 3MM and left that 30 minutes, covered with my shower cap.
Rinsed and finished with a mild ACV.

My hair is sooo slippery and shiny! Definitely worked beautifully for me.
