If ktani really is gone, it is such a huge loss for this community. She has been so gracious to share her knowledge with us. She will be missed.

All the hard work and research she has done to help us with different hair issues, will be lost to us.

She has done so much for this community and will be greatly missed

I hope she is on a break and returns to us again.

I don't even know what happened. One minute she's here, the next she's... gone. She will be missed - I loved her advice and mad scientific skillz. I do hope she'll be back.

For everyone saying that they hope she will return - her account is officially closed. She doesn't show up on the Member List and other members are not able to send her PMs.

To clear the confusion about the custom titles, which came up in this thread (:

"Former Member" or "Account closed by Member request" mean the same. The first is the automated version the software applies when the usergroup is changed. The other one has to be put in manually, which some mods do (out of transparency reasons, since "former member" seemed to be confusing for some) and some mods don't. And even those who sometimes do sometimes forget. But both titles mean that the account is closed and will not post again.
Accounts with not functioning emails got cleaned out by accident once and showed up as "Guest" by software default. That just happened when old unused 0 post accounts should be removed from the database to release those usernames for new users again. Was an unexpected side-effect and there's really no plans to repeat that again. Eek!
