My hair stayed between APL and hip for most of my middle and high school years. I chose "in a ponytail" but I more often than not had my hair in a low cinnabun, although I didn't know that's what it was called!

CL(14")~SL(15")~APL(20")~BSL(24")~WL(27")~HL(30")~TBL(34")
I had waist length hair at 14 that I mostly alternated between putting it in a ponytail (when forced) and wearing it loose. I also never conditioned it or brushed it and I would get upset at anyone who tried to brush it for me or put leave-ins in it. My mom was relieved when I chopped it off at 16 since I would fight her the hardest when she tried to help me. I hereby formally apologize to my mother for the grief I put her through with my hair at that age.
SL ~ APL ~ BSL ~ WL ~ HL~ BCL ~ TBL ~ CL ~ FTL ~ KL
In the apl-bsl range, usually in a ponytail, and SUPER frizzy and terrible-looking because I was in a tomboy phase of sorts (long story involving boys) and refused to take care of it properly
About shoulder length
I would sleep on it wet, power through tangles with a stiff bristled brush in the mourning, then be on my merry way.
I had more bad hair days than good ones back then lol.
This was right around that time. Which would put it right about 1988.
So somewhat mullet'ish.
People often compared it to Glen Danzigs hair back then .
I think it was to the middle of my back. I usually wore it in a bun because it was so damaged.
"Kindness is the best nourishment for humanity"
It was straight, thick and super shiny, to the middle of my back. I also had bangs. I wish I still had that hair...
It was layered out, caramel-colour dyed and it was middle-back length. I had an awful strand that I used to put in front of my face like Captain Harlock. It wasn't that bad hahaha, but I prefer it now !
