Ive trimmed all through my growing journey but did most trims at waist. I am now past waist and I shall not be trimming until May when hopefully I shall be at hip length, then I shall trim 1/2" off which will maybe give me a blunt hemline.

I put tailbone but I'll probably grow until I can't stand how the hemline looks anymore, trimming twice a year (ok, maybe more but I'm trying for twice! ). I'm lucky in that I don't have a whole lot of taper but I do have some layers and old bangs and the regrowth from a stress fall. I'm hoping that by trimming as I go I'll avoid having to maintain for a thick hemline!

I like fairytale ends, so when I reach my goal of waist I won't be trying to thicken my hemline, unless it looks absolutely terrible.
Currently growing out dyed hair, and then it's on to waist
Last dye - 10th December 2013, will cut at 5 inches of roots

I voted waist because this is the milestone that I will not resent trimming. Once I have the hemline I would like and have grown out my layers I will most likely grow to hip.

I'm not to waist, yet. But when I hit waist, I'm going to trim 2 inches to get the rest of my heat-damaged hair off.

I actually haven't had a trim in more than 3 1/2 years, but I checked off both waist and hip since my hair falls between the two and I'm going for a trim tomorrow. I can't stand my scraggly fairy tale ends any more and I want a thick, blunt hemline again before continuing on my growing journey to classic!

I said waist because I have been hanging out in the waist lands for awhile trimming off old dye/layers. The end result is a thicker hemline.

I maintained at MBL for three months. My hair really needed it because my ends were dry and damaged. I didn't pick a specific length in mind to maintain. I just make sure to keep an eye on my ends and microtrim when needed because I don't want several inches of thin ends that I have to spend months trying to thicken up. I'd rather just take a month or two after I reach a milestone to maintain and get rid of some ends. I also don't want to go without trimming for several years and then have to cut off several inches that I had spent a year or more growing. I'd rather trim it along the way.

My ends satisfy me at the moment, so I won't microtrim (notice I didn't say trim) them until one inch of my ends become scraggly.
