Bun wearers how many updo styles in usual repertoire?

When I first voted all this time ago (lol), I said I switched between 3 updos. I still have 3 in my arsenal (that I know well), the logroll/peacock twist, the LWB and the Nautilus. So little changes over time.

I can do several types of bun but I always do a nautilus. It's the most comfortable to me.

It probably does have a name, I've just never come across it! I've been looking for it in the LHC hairstyle thesaurus. It may be a variation on the Pha bun or Orchid bun.

In text: ponytail hair in left hand, loop hair down (or up) over left index finger, then wrap remaining hair counter clockwise (or clockwise) around the base. Insert stick along index finger, then maneuver the stick with the loop of hair up above (or below) the wrapped hair, push stick through wrapped hair.

Something about the initial loop + wrapped hair combination distributes the tension very well over my head. If there is any pulling, I can relieve it easily, whereas most other buns I've tried hurt a little no matter what I do. Unfortunately, my length makes many coils around the centrepiece now, so I'm experimenting with looping the hair over my whole hand once or even twice to use up more in the inverted section.

Thank you very much, I am doing the ABC Bun Challenge and I’m watching closely to all available bun options, when I come across Pha or Orchid bun, I will keep this for reference and check back to see if they fit the description. I’m just very excited to explore so many new styles and learn new things every day!

Just two at the moment. A classic ballerina bun, or a pineapple bun, where I just make a ponytail with a scrunchie and pull it almost all the way through. If I want to make the pineapple bun cuter, I leave more of the ends out, curl them, and arrange them on top of my head kinda how Pamela Anderson used to do her updo.

I want to try the rose bun; it looks pretty!!

Huh, more than I thought. In order of frequency:
Nessa Bun
LWB
Nautilus
And semi-regularly, usually my 'leaving the house and want to make an effort' go-to (or even 'wanting to feel like I made an effort for a Zoom call', the Spock Bun.
