Thankyou everyone, the back is as untouched as I can get I am afraid, I literally sat at my pc the whole time it airdried and tried to move as little as possible, I didn't even lean on it. I think the front is just more prone to the waves. It will be interesting to see if it changes for sure!

Ah, I see. The back is more 1c to me, so if you can put 1c/2a, I think that would be rather accurate? And now I see that that is what you have put down there in your profile. LOL! Oh my. It seems to fit, then, right?

Default Please help me determine my hair type, I'm new to this :)

    Hello,

I am new to the hair type classification and I am trying to find out my hair type.

Do you think that a product like Curly Magic Curl Simulation (Uncle Funky's Daughter) could help enhance my waves?

below is a picture of my today's freshly washed hair (shampoo + conditioner + ACV rinse); no other products.

    I think I could be a 2A or 2B but I welcome your input.

    Thanks a lot!

Hi! Welcome here, you look to me like possibly a 2b or 2c, maybe a mixture of both!

Welcome! I'd say 2c/3a, because I see spirals and wurls rather than waves.
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...

I'm going to say 2c because it overall looks wavy rather than curly but there appear to be a few spirals forming around your face. I can't comment on products but I wouldn't be super surprised if tweaks to your routine made your hair curlier.

Thank you all. From your responses, I infer that it's not 2A for sure But rather 2B-2C or even a combination of both. I read on a blog somewhere that Curly Magic Curl Simulator may not be effective on 2A hair but it could work very well on 2B and above. Thanks to your input, I now feel more confident to give it a try

Veeery hard to tell from that small a section. Could you take a picture from the back? From what I have to go on, now, I'd call it 2b, but that might go either direction if I see the entirety of the head.
