Thanks Lapushka and MusicalSpoons. This photo was taken when fully dry, then finger combed. It's probably not much help. I'll try for a new pic next time I wash my hair. The straighter area on the left side is where I handled my hair while wet. I suspect that the same is true on the right side.

Yes, next time, leave it alone, though, not even finger detangling!

Yep, handling can definitely pull texture out! Fingercombing certainly does. I will be interested to see how it turns out untouched
