please help! I've been trying to decide on mine for ages but cannot figure it out for the life of me. this is today after CWC, left to air dry.






the second photo in my signature is when I tried the CGM, maybe this would affect how my hair looks too.

And is that a velour robe? It looks comfy

I could use some opinions. I don't know that I've ever properly typed my hair, so today I wanted to try it.

On the left, here's my hair after air-drying, untouched. I also added what it looks like after finger-combing, which removes the clumping, just to compare.



I've always called my hair 2a; do you all agree?

Hard for me to tell. Would say most likely 2b

Other than awesome I'd say 2b, without context I would assume that your waves are braid waves, which is pretty much "textbook 2b".
They seem to be on the looser side, so maybe 2a/2b also fits.

Thank you so much!!! Yes it was a birthday present it is so comfy I love lounging around in it! It's long too so I don't feel exposed when I've just got out the shower if you know what i mean lol

No 2b, for sure, at least that is my opinion; those are like "braid waves" waves, so that means 2b, for sure. And if you have a tendency for some pieces to "ringlet", say at the nape or front, then consider 2b/c.

Wow! No, I'd go for 2b, maybe 2a for the ends (thigh expanse) if you're being conservatively pedantic. But because most of it is wavier I'd stick with 2b.

Oh interesting, thank you all!! I did wonder if I was wavier than I thought. I'm used to dealing with my looser finger-combed texture and near-straight hair that comes from being bunned, but I see my underlying texture is something quite a bit different.
This is the year of realizing all my hair classifications have been wrong
