Thailand, your hair is so pretty! It looks to me more like a 2a/2b because of the s-waves

Thailand, I say 2a too. Your waves look a bit like mine - like very, very stretched out spirals (rather than, say, braid waves)

Thailand I’d say your hair is 2a/b. It’s similar to mine but you have more spirals which is why I’ve gone with partly 2b. Welcome!

I'd say 2a/b, looking at the pictures from the back (they are the clearest IMO).

Thanks everyone for your replies and welcome. 2a/2b it is then. I'm happily surprised. I've always considered myself to have straight hair. LOL. Guess what I'm going to be doing today then.....looking up how to care for this hair type

I could use some opinions. I don't know that I've ever properly typed my hair, so today I wanted to try it.

On the left, here's my hair after air-drying, untouched. I also added what it looks like after finger-combing, which removes the clumping, just to compare.

I've always called my hair 2a; do you all agree?

Wow! No, I'd go for 2b, maybe 2a for the ends (thigh expanse) if you're being conservatively pedantic. But because most of it is wavier I'd stick with 2b.
