Wow that's a lot of length. I'm glad you found the advice and support you needed to grow it longer.
I'm a few days late with this. When I joined LHC one year ago my hair looked like this:
Today it looks like this (I probably should have combed it or something, eek. ):
I grew out from a pixie, chopped off the mullet twice...probably 2 inches total, maybe 3...to even things up.
Never thought I could grow my hair longer than shoulder length. I didn't think I had the knowledge or the patience for it. You all shared the knowledge with me and the patience is still being worked on (I have a trimming problem) but this is the longest and healthiest my hair has been in my life. I know it isn't long by LHC standards, but when you've had hair chin length or shorter for 39 years this feels long.
Thanks to everyone for the time you take to answer questions and offer advice. I wouldn't have made it this far otherwise.

Happy Hairiversary! Great progress and your hair looks lovely!

Happy at hip for a while!
Happy Anniversary! You've sure got a lot of growth in just a year. Looks like you've got some waves in there, too.
Thanks everyone! My hair grows really quickly (about an inch a month) in the summer but then slows down a lot during the winter. I actually do have a lot of natural wave in my hair but henna has killed that for whatever reason...added weight maybe?
Looking great.

It's so encouraging for those of us that are growing out a short cut.
I want to finally get back to Classic. Growing again starting March 2018.
