What is your hair color level?

I can't see the original image posted. I looked up some charts and they're all quite different. I think I'm either a 3 or a 4, naturally. Looks more like a 4 with my greys + henna. My hair is originally dark chestnut brown and looks more auburn with how I dye it.

My color now is about 7.3 and the lengths 8.3

Level 7 until half way down where it progresses to 6, then 5 at the ends. (Ginger > Auburn > Deep Auburn)

The original photo wasn't there to see anymore - but if I can believe the many 10-1 charts online, my roots (the truly natural?) are 4 and my ends about 5. Anyway it goes from Medium to Light Brown.

Naturally, I'm between levels 4 and 5 but I dye my hair. So, I've darkened it to a level 3 or 4.

I want to say 3 or 4. It's red in sunlight, a dark golden brown in bright lights, and black under most indoor lighting. Tbh, I really like it! Sometimes I want really golden hair, and other times I want jet black hair, so it seems I somewhat get close enough.

I was always told by hairdresser that I'm a natural 6, with lighter streaks, and by the pics I've seen I'm quite sure of it.

The photo for "3: Black" looks dark brown to me. This poll is a fun challenge, as one's hair may be a deep cocoa brown in real life, a 2 on one screen, a 3 on another, "black" in international English and "brown" in British English, even with all other things being equal.
I suspect also that the different forms of melanin or other pigments in hair may reflect light differently in a number of ways that cannot be captured by a linear measure of chroma. Not to mention the lovely variance in colour and shade that we see in all hair types, but especially those prone to photobleaching.

If I understand correctly the lower numbers are the darker colors? If so then I would think I am maybe about a 2. Or between 2 and 3. By most peoples description...black. But when seen next to a genuinely black haired person...I'm just really really dark. As Ive mentioned before though, no one seems to ever describe me has having brown hair, or any variation thereof. Its never "the brown haired guy, or the dark haired dude. It always seems to be...BLACK. Strangely enough though, when backlit with, or immersed in the right lighting, it can appear very auburn. Pretty soon though, and even sometimes now, when my hair parts just right on either side, people will not have to strain their eyes to gain a vision into the "Temple" of the silver strands.
