I had a sad realization today. I've been micro trimming since May, just after joining and have trimmed a total of 2" in that time. Today I trimmed and measured. If I had that 2", I'd be just barely at my goal of KL...x2
I am maintaining at waist this year to make this more blunt. My shortest hairs are armpit length, so maybe a year, maybe less, they will all be the same length.

Opted out of the friends program, nothing personal
Also joining. My plan is to micro-trim twice a year to maintain fuller ends whilst also getting rid of ends that are worn off.![]()
Thank you!
I just trimmed my monthly centimeter.

I definitely want to be a part of this group. My hair is very short right now, but I am trying to grow some chemical damage/layers out so I see the need to do (true) microtrims. I simply don't trust a hairdresser (or myself at a salon) to go light....too many bad experiences!
I'm so genuinely happy to have found this group!
I might be joining here I think aiming for a one length bob before not trimming is probably best for me
I just did my first microtrim of 0.5" to freshen up my ends using Feye's method for a U-shaped hem, but it didn't work out so well because the top layer of my hair somehow ended up longer than my bottom layer? I don't know where I went wrong. I'm doing the no trim challenge for the first half of the new year to get myself to MBL, but then I'll be back here for the second half to do frequent microtrims for the rest of the year to work on my hemline.

Oh hi! Haven't been on LHC for a while but I just checked in on my 3-year goal to a full-hemmed waist length. I'm *just* shy of waist right now at the end of year 2 (it reaches in the shower), but it's so tapered and I don't have a lot of hair, so I really love a blunt hemline. Apparently two-years-ago me totally knew that was going to happen and year 3's goal is to thicken up the hemline, grow out the last layers, and grow whatever inch or two I might need to get a full hem at waist.
The last 2-3 inches of my hair are my pre taking care of my hair lengths and they're chemically overprocessed so they thin so easily and are clearly not as healthy or full as the rest of my hair. I hope by the end of 2023 those are gone! I'm thinking to microtrim every second month and S&D in the months I don't trim. I plan to take lots of pictures and post when I do.![]()
