What's more important length or condition?

Just yesterday i got a trim to even out the wispy un even ends and even though i love how the hair looks now so soft and thick i missing the couple of inches that were taken off, so i got thinking when it comes to your hair what do you value more a nice thick hemline or length?

Even though it didn't look that bad i though the condition was more important so what do you choose?

I voted condition because to me there is nothing that feels worse than dry, ratty ends.

I voted condition as well. I like a blunt thick heamline also, I hate to see dry wispy ends.

Condition for me, becasue if my hair isn't in good condition, I don't get any length

Condition, because if it's in bad condition it takes away the beauty of the length. Although I think those with fairy tale ends (or otherwise non-blunt hemlines) can also have hair in good condition.

Oooo hard question! But I went for condition, because I'd prefer healthy hair over damaged. I'd love length but I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it down (which is what I want to do) if the condition is poor.

Hmm. For me it's a juggling act, at least partially because I wear my hair up almost all the time, so how it looks isn't actually all that important. So, for example, if I'm desperate for that last inch to get to a milestone, I'll wait till I get there, then do regular trims to maintain for a few months so I can cut off any thin/damaged ends, then go for the next milestone.

I have some ends that are dry - just the last 1 cm really - but they look okay, only feel a bit dry, so I'm going to baby them and put off a trim till I get to waist. I know if I tell myself it's okay to trim dry ends I'll be trimming them all the time, so it's best for me to do this sort of thing. They only really need a dusting, anyway, which I'll do when I'm happier with the length.

So...condition over length in the long run - I wouldn't maintain at terminal, for example, because I prefer more thickness at the ends, but I'm prepared to put up with less-than-perfect ends for a while to prevent too much trimming and keep me attaining goals.

I agree with everyone else so far: Length is only really desirable when it's healthy looking.

That said, I may have looser standards of good condition than others, as I've gone 10 months without even a trim in the name of gaining length, and plan to go a couple more.
