Oh, in the first few series of Death in Paradise, several of the women wore hairsticks and forks - mostly in messy buns, but I'm certain they were functional. (Lots of lovely natural Afro-Caribbean hair in the show too!)

I've also seen a member on Ravelry wearing a Ficcare in several of her photos, someone from the Netherlands. If that's you, I'm not expecting you to respond because it has your full name on there, but hello!
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...
Picky scalp but easygoing hair, thank goodness

Jocasta Nu (archive librarian) is wearing a bun secured with a pair of hair sticks in season 2, episode 1 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

A clear shot of a hair fork being taken out of Leia’s hair in episode 2 of Obi Wan Kenobi 😁 I’ll add in a screenshot later when I’m on my laptop

I watched this recently for family night, and was waiting excitedly because of pixiep's headsup!
I love how they had a camera closeup shot of it instead of it just being in the background.
Kind of looks like a mdwoodenarts fork, I wonder if it is
Much love to all my fellow long hair peoples!

I saw a security guard wear a flexi 8 in a half up at my local mall.

Last Saturday I sat next to a lady whose hair was in a neat French Twist held up with a lovely reddish 2-tine hairfork! Really sophisticated looking updo. I commented on the fork, and she commented back on my topknot hairstick.

I went to an event recently that was attended mostly by people over 50. I saw lots of bleached blondes and grey haired women with half-ups held with all sorts and sizes of claw clips. There was a nicely done peacock twist just in front of me.

I live in Chicago and whenever I see anyone with their hair up, it's with elastics or a claw clip. It surprises me since this is a big city. It would be so cool to see someone else out there wearing a hair stick, say, on the L or something

I'm with you. I hardly ever see anyone with a hairstick or a hairfork, that's why I was so surprised the other day to see a fork! It doesn't make sense either, as both sticks and forks are *so* easy to use. It's always elastics and/or claws.
