Hum, I'll have to pay more attention I guess. I do remember noticing the server at a tea house a few years ago had a neat stick with some sort of puffy thing in a bright color poking out. I'd certainly seen people put their hair up with sticks before but never thought of using them as decorations.

The total of my hairtoy sightings has been 2 forks and one beak clip outside of my friend who regularly wears sticks. Everything else is elastics/headbands/scrunchies/claw clips. And I work a very public job so I see a lot of people.

Braids are really popular this year though, and I've seen some interesting ones, which is a start.

I don't think I have ever seen someone with hairsticks/ficcare/flexi8 on the streets, long haired people I see usually have a braid or a ponytail, or wear it down.

Saw three woman at six flags with buns and a stick/pen

The first one was an older lady who had a figure eight bun help with a pen.
The last one was this hispanic girl with this HUGE head-eating bun held by one plastic hairstick, cannot believe her bun lasted all day on those intense rides!!!

I've never seen anyone wearing hairtoys in the wild, just elastics and conventional clips. I'm constantly on the lookout though!

OK so I'm going to an Irish festival today and expect to see lots of red haired people there I am going to make a concerted effort to notice other peoples' hair and will report back. Wow, I'm such a nerd.
Currently at BSL, trying to get to waist, if possible, by January 2015. I may lose my mind and cut it off though.

I've seen a couple of women wearing chopsticks, but that's about all. It's kind of disappointing, because there's quite a few women in this area with longer hair and I do see a lot of updos, but most just with a plastic clip.

I try to wear something different and interesting every week to church, to give the people in the pew behind something fun to look at. I get compliments, too!
