I have one, but it doesn't do much for me. All I really need is a wide-toothed comb.

I use one every morning. I bend over and use 100 strokes. It makes my hair soft from the sebum distribution, and makes my hair behave better. It may not be for everyone, but it's worth a try.

I use one when I want to loosen the wave patterns and prevent them from tangling too much, giving volume to the hair and making it more manageable, but I learnt that a wide toothed comb (especially horn ones) is simply better with tangled or dry hair, at least for me.

It works well for me, as long as I use a wide-toothed comb to detangle first. Natural bristles aren't good for getting out tangles.

I tend to use it from a day after washing until the next wash, to distribute the natural oils throughout my hair. It means my scalp takes longer to look greasy, and the ends get 'fed' with sebum. I tend to wash my hair again once the sebum has made it all the way down to the ends (by this time my scalp normally looks a little greasy, but I can get a way with it in an updo).

It does makes my hair look more voluminous, so I either do it at night before I braid it for sleep, or I apply a little cone/jojoba oil serum to calm it down. (I'm going to try coconut and jojoba oils just by themselves, but I want to use up the serum I have - it's the Aussie colour protecting one - first. It seems to work well enough, anyway).

Contrary to the user above me, I brush with my BBB to smooth kinks or waves when I want my hair silky straight
I also use it to help spread oils evenly trough my length when doing a pre wash treatment.

I bought one to see if I could spread the natural oils down to my ends, but now that my hair is at it's current length I don't see that happening... or maybe I'm just missing a certain technique.

I said no because Ive never tried one, but I may get one just to see if I like it. I love my ionic plastic paddle brush tho, and as long as I dont brush it when wet, and use my detangling comb first, it seems to be gentle enough.

I do use BBB. It makes my hair smoother and the ends softer. It also seems to add shine...

I use my bbb, I don't know how much difference it has made in terms of the damage I might have done with my old brush, but it certainly makes it look a lot nicer!
