I mean, "help" how? I don't think it's helping my blood circulation and making my hair grow faster or something, but it's been a great styling tool for smoothing things down, and my hair feels like silk after.
Yes, it helps my hair.
Yes, but it didn't help my hair.
No, I don't use a BBB.
I use cheese to brush my hair.
Yes, it really helps smooth frizzies and even out oil

I have an insanely expensive BBB, but almost never use it because even on day of wash it takes my clean hair and turns it into an oil slick--this despite the fact that my scalp and hair tend to be dry. It makes the length SUPER shiny, but the oily scalp looks horrid and I get bumper crops of split ends every time I use it. Needless it say, its languishing in my cupboard. I use a tangle teezer or boxwood comb instead and my hair is far happier for it. The BBB gets brought out for surface smoothing if I do a Gibson bun or something similar. Yes, I do wash my brushes, so a dirty brush isn't what causes the oiliness.

I seem to get this too. I don't normally have an oily scalp (I used to on day 4+ with my old S&C routine but I don't any more) but the instant I use my BBB my hair looks limp and slick and oily, even if my hair is freshly washed. And yes, I too washed my BBB - so it's not that. I notice the same issue with DBF's hair when he gets hold of the BBB.
Perhaps it's something to do with being an F?
I wish it didn't do that because I like the shine it gives my length and I like the polished look it gives my updos...
I use it for tight up-dos on greasy days. I can't get it all the way in to my scalp though so I can't use it to spread sebum. I use my tangle teezer for that now.
I have one, but I no longer use it. It does absolutely nothing for my texture; all it gives me is even fluffier hair.
I have one, it doesn't work for me sadly.I don't know if it's my hair being fine-ish, but it breeds tangles even on just-combed hair. It's just too grabby. I'm starting to wonder if it's because my BBB is paddle-style though, perhaps it's just too many bristles, but experimenting by buying another thinner one is too costly right now.
Love love love my BBBs. Use them to extend the time between washes spreading the sebum to the ends instead of it being all close to the scalp. I have to wash the brush (lots of residue), that's why I own several.
My BBB makes my hair frizzy!! It gets all staticy even when I have oil in it (which is really the only time it ever touches my hair). Maybe I just have a static-fulled house...![]()
When this poll was originally posted I answered "no, I don't use one" but since then I have bought one and am loving it! My hair is an oily mess on the first inch or so then SO dry on the remainder so a BBB distributes the oil and makes it so I don't have to wash every day.
There are two types of people in the world; those who play to win and those who play not to lose.
