How often to Brush?

How often does everyone brush in a day?

100 strokes every day, with a pure bbb, right after I get up in the morning.

I aim to do it twice per day, morning and evening. I mean a thorough scalp brushing by that....preferably bent over. If i'm wearing my hair down i'll usually go over it a few more times than that but only a few strokes to make sure it's not developing tangles.
I usually use a wooden brush then sometimes a BBB

I brush twice a day with my tangle teezer, once when I get up and once before I go to bed. Sometimes I'll brush more if I'm wearing my hair down, but it's rarely down anyway.

I don't ever brush, I comb, but I do so approx. 3 times a day if I'm wearing it down. Just twice if it's up- once before I put it up and once after I take it down.

I brush when my hair is wet after I wash it. It's really the only time I can get a comb through it. If I brush it when it's dry, I get major breakage and tangles.

When you brush your hair when it's wet it causes more breakage then when its dry. Hair is much more vulenrable when it's wet.

Yes, but she says she uses a comb. Wet detangling is fine - in fact, some of use curlies cannot touch our hair with anything detangly unless we have wet hair with conditioner in it for slip.

Though of course one has to be careful, more careful than with dry hair. I would suggest that the LHCer who wet combs because she can't dry comb has damaged hair and lots of the "velcro ends" phenomenon, so it would make sense if she needs water/conditioner to be able to detangle of her hair.

I finger detangle with conditioner in my hair, and otherwise brush twice a day - once to go from sleep braid to updo, and again in the opposite direction. Sometimes I will replace one of these with a finger detangle if my hair has, e.g., been up the whole day and not switched styles.

I use a Tangle Teezer.

By brush I mean a Boar Bristle Brush. I use it once a day, usually before bed time.

I comb probably three times a day... gentle combing after it's air dried, usually sometime in the middle of the day (if it's down) or after I come home from school, and then before bed.

I never use a brush, but I comb a few times a day as needed for detangling, with a Body Shop wooden detangling comb.
