How soon did you start having silver hair?

I didnt vote, currently 23 and no greys, but im fascinated with silver hair. In my family everyone just barely goes gray 50's +. i probably wont see any grey hair for another 30 years

I wouldn't know honestly since I dye my hair, and my natural colour looks gray at the roots when it grows in, so yeah no clue! I know my mom started getting her first grays at around 30, and I turn 30 in two weeks. No idea when my father started to gray, he's had a buzz cut for as long as I can remember.

I have about 5-7 silver hairs that I’ve gotten in the past two years, and I just turned 30. My mom has the most magnificent natural silver highlights in her dark hair, and she started getting those in her early forties or so, I think. My paternal grandpa is 83 and his hair is still almost entirely brown 😳 My paternal grandma went all- silver in her 20s!

Yes it can take decades after you discover your first white/gray hair for it to "spread" throughout. I found a white strand in my early 20s and now I am going to be 46 years old soon and I have about 3% gray, it's hardly noticeable, more when it's in an updo, it's just a sprinkling throughout.

Early 40's. I dyed my hair for a while but have given into the Au natural and I like it.

My boyfriend noticed 3 or 4 silvers in my hair last year near my hair line, but that's all (except one thick white hair that appeared on my left brow and disappeared suddenly without regrowing).

None on my head yet, but I have one white eyebrow hair that popped up this summer. I hope my hair doesn't follow too soon, I'm just getting used to being a full blown natural brunette again Though when it does happen, I hope I have hair like my paternal grandmother, completely pure white. My mom has coarse, frizzy silvers but she also has a lot of damage from heat and dye to cover them up. So even if I get those they will be beautiful as well because I will treat them with care

I have a silver hair in my eyebrow, does it count? It suddenly appeared many years ago. In my family a full head of silver hair is... non existent. My grandpa is 81 and his hair is still mostly black
