How soon did you start having silver hair?

I have one gray that popped in a couple of months ago. I am in my late thirties. I showed my gray hair to a co-worker yesterday, and he laughed at me and told me it is blonde. Still looks gray to me! I am keeping it.

I noticed my first silver hair at 14! They were never really noticeable until my mid twenties. Now I sit with hennaed hair piled atop my head... trying to get rid of them

I have none yet, and they seem to come late in my family; neither of my parents started showing much gray until their 60's. My paternal grandfather kept his glossy black hair until he was nearly 70, and my maternal grandmother still only had a few greys when she passed in her late 60's. So no silver mane for me any time soon!

I found my first when I was 33. It was lonely for quite a while, though! In my mid-40s I'd say there are maybe a dozen that I can see. My dad's hair is a lovely silver but my poor mom (who has always looked forward to turning grey since she adored her grandmother's silver hair) is in her 60s and just now becoming a noticeable salt and pepper.

I found my first grey at 14. By my 20s, my hair was salt and pepper and I wore it that way. People thought I dyed the silver, white into my hair.
Now.....well....the cycle is complete and I really love my white, grey hair!
