42 - the question to the ultimate answer!
It was my 18th birthday when I found my first silver. I didn't give it much thought and I continued to let my friend bleach my bangs. A decade later I have less than a dozen and I'm looking forward to those wiry strands as I get older to give me some volume and *sparkle* in my dark brown hair.

I found my first grey hair in 2021 when I was 27, it was on the side of my head just behind my hairline. The next one I found was in 2022 next to my center part when I was 28, only 0.5-1cm behind my hairline. I love it. It sparkles so much more than my few blond hairs in a sea of brown. Every time I part my hair slightly off center, I see it glisten. I'm excited to have more. My mom is 70 and she only has maybe 25-50 grey hairs along her hairline and more sprinkled throughout her dark dark brown hair and my dad is almost all grey at this point at 65, he was blond to light brunette and now mostly grey. I'm hoping I have his genes and grey gracefully too. I think it's so pretty to have peppered hair or even full grey!
When I was 44 I was complimented on my ‘new highlights’. I had some grey hairs in my 30s but decided to grow my hair long because of the ‘new highlights’ comment in my 40s.

I think I might have some now (age 35) but it's hard to tell! There are some sparkles in my inch or two of brunette roots that could be grays coming in, or could just be lighter brown strands. I'm excited to see what develops. I think grays are absolutely beautiful.
