    - Your hair won't be healthy by just avoiding heat, brushing your wet hair every morning and throwing it in a ponytail and going outside in the cold is just as bad.
    - Make it look cute, you can do that at any length

Just because your mom can bleach her hair once a month with box hair dye ALL over her hair (and it's somehow perfectly healthy and growing) doesn't mean at all that your hair will also tollerate the bleach that well.

Braids are only protective if you use nice elastics! Seriously I used to tie my braids off every day with those rough metal-connected elastics, and then wonder why my ends were so much thinner than the rest of my hair.

    Here's some advice to me:

Stop it, your natural soft black is lovely.

Stay away from the bleach and dye! Don't ever touch it again. EVERRRRRR.

If I want to use dye..use the conditioner hair safe temp ones.

You have dry hair, you live in a dry climate... Please, please stop washing your hair every day. And put down the sulphates.

Amen! Did that, regretted right after. Felt very weird and insecure...

Skip silicones and sulfates. It will solve a lot of your problems!

You'll know when you need to cut your hair, and you'll know when you're ready to grow again.

Listen to your hair - if it likes something, you'll know.

CO washing makes for great curls, and makes you shed like it's going out of style - sulfate free CWC is SO much better.
