Default Long count for natural length

I know I am in for the long count. I nurture my hair as a natural resource. I have no desire to change its color or texture by dye, bleach, perm, indigo, or henna. It is unique and beautiful just as it is (between times of being a pain). I will grow it as long as I can continue to care for it by myself.

Who is walking this particular path with me?

I'm still only just past shoulder-length (HOORAY!!!) but can I join you? I love my natural colour, it has variations that no salon could ever give. I love the fact that I have kinky black hairs and wavy blondes, all mixed together. I love the natural spirals that it goes into when I let it dry by itself (without pulling it up).
I'm so content with being in this journey for the long haul that it is bringing a LOT of patience, as I know I will never go for a big haircut again.
I can appreciate that other people enjoy colouring their hair, but it isn't for me.

I would love to join as well! I have come to the realization that I can love my hair just the way it is... no need to cut/colour/style it like in the magazines, no need for it to look like some celebrities latest 'do. My hair is beautiful in its own way and own right, and I am going to embrace it just as it is!

Here, too. I keep looking at my gray hairs and examining if I care about them. I don't. After my last perm, I probably won't perm again. This iswhat I'm supposed to have.

The fact of opposable thumbs and a curious mind allows me to fiddle around with it when I want to, lol.
