When did your hair start to feel long to you?

I have a class photo of myself in the 4th grade, circa 1974, in denim bell bottoms with sun-streaked brown hippie hair, middle part, down to my waist. None of the other girls in the photo had hair that long, so it must've felt long to me then, but I really can't recall. I can't even imagine having hair that long now. Now it's shoulder length and hasn't been any longer than that in ages. I know it'll feel REALLY long to me if (WHEN!) it ever gets to BSL, which is my goal... ah the dream.

I haven't grown my hair too long but I think when your hair starts thinning out that's when it gets too long.

To me, short is apl and shorter, medium is between apl and bsl, and long is past bsl. I've always been comfortable with 'long' bsl to waist length for myself.

I'm not sure my hair has ever felt properly long, but then it's never been past BSL. At BSL I did get lots of 'your hair's so long' comments from people I know though.

I think post LHC my hair will only start to feel long at around waist, maybe not even there.

Somewhere between waist and TBL was my limit. It felt too heavy to me. I also got lazy with caring it and never got into making protective up do's. Of course it showed.

It’s just started to feel long to me and I’ve just hit waist length. It always seems short to me when I visit this community. 😅

Long in a positive way, when it tickled my legs. In a negative way, when it outstripped the length of my arms + brush.

I don't remember when it started to feel long, as I've always had 'long' hair from childhood. I know I refused to have it shorter than hip, maybe waist+ *once* because the ends were so bad, so I guess I'd have to say Hip.

When I came here, it didn't feel properly long until after FTL Even at knee, I'm finding myself thinking 'I thought it would feel longer than this'
