I'm between waist and tailbone. I get my hair trimmed frequently to keep the ends thick. Probably every six weeks or so I'll get 2 inches cut off, but my hair grows fast.

I use shampoo and conditioner only on the lower half of my hair (that would be the bottom 18 inches!)

I also use a serum on the last six inches or so and spread what's left on my hands through the rest of my hair.

I rarely wear my hair up. I figure if I wear it up a lot, I might as well cut it off.

When it gets to the tailbone, I usually get a 6 inch trim to maintain thickness.

Your hair grows 2" every 6 weeks??? Holy cow! Can I be you for a few months?

Hang around LHC for a while and you might discover some interesting and fun ways to wear your hair up.

Carolyn, I kid you not. I don't know WHY it grows so fast, but I got 2 inches cut off in mid-March, so I'm overdue for a trim, and it's more than 2 inches longer.

Maybe that should encourage me to try cutting it shorter, knowing it will grow back fast, but I'm reluctant to do that.

One of my nieces has the super-hair-growth gene as well.

Odd but true. But if I just let it grow without trimming it, I get weasel ends. You know--thin and shapeless. So I keep trimming the stuff and it keeps growing.

Oh--and where are good threads for updos? When I wear mine up, I usually just do a basic bun or chignon with a hair stick.

    Thanks!

Hi there, I'm currently mostly at waist with really thin fairytale ends that fall to almost hip. I've been at waist *forever*. The last time I had an actual cut was about 3 or 4 years ago and that was only to just above waist. Anyway, that was all pre-LHC. I'm now hoping that with a combination of CO, careful handling, wearing up-dos and taking vitamins I'll be able to finally get past waist! So far (a couple of months in) it's going well. My hair is in much better condition and is definitely longer than it was. I've got my fingers crossed for a summer growth spurt to get me the couple of inches to hip, and then on to classic...

    Wish me luck!

    lolz

I'm now solidly BCL, and when my hair is wet I'm inching closer to what I consider tailbone length. It suddenly feels LONG!

Soft hair that is nice to sit on - now I'm bragging!
