I should probably maintain but I want to get to tailbone more!
    It's ok!
I have thin ends too; I totally understand how you can feel self-conscious about it, but there's really nothing wrong with having thin or fairytale ends (I mean, there's nothing wrong with having any kind of hair, that would be silly).
If you don't feel like maintaining at hip but still would like thicker ends, it's also totally possible to grow to a length you're happy with (for me that was tailbone), and then maintain there.
    Midback ~ Waist ~ Hip ~ Buttcrack ~ Tailbone! ~ Classic ~ Fingertip? ~ Knee??
Now happily maintaining tailbone length. I'm not done growing though... Just waiting for my ends to thicken

Paper.wyrm I emphazise about feeling seIf-conscious, but I second the others. Everyone's hair is different and it's also about priorities. Wispy ends also have some advantages. They make buns a lot more stable for example.

I want rid of my layers so I feel I'll be stuck for years! I'm thinking I might microtrim until most are gone next year I'll see how long my hair is by the end of the year though

Can anyone do 2 buns with hair this length? I can't, or at least not the way that I try. My hair is too long and not thick enough, and so they get unstable.

Thanks! It's funny, because I definitely have more issues with wispy ends on me than on anyone else, but I will have to learn to appreciate mine. Maybe I'll brave it and take a photo after my next wash.

I have not try two buns in ages. On me they are just tiny. Maybe try braided buns, should be more stable and secure.

I’ve done double buns a few times. I secure them with spin pins.
