Mine is only 1,5-2 years old...
Hi all!
You know how in the media it is told that a human hair has a life span of about 6 years? Perhaps this is indeed the average age that human hairs will get to before they fall out, but I know that many people have much older hair. So I did a little calculation:
My hair grows 6 cms a year and the longest strands are 51 cms long. That means that my tips are 8,5 years old.
How old is your hair?
Mine is only 1,5-2 years old...
Haha, you've got toddler hair! Just wait until it learns the word "no".
My longest layer is 32cm so I think the tips are 5.3 year old... I really hope I didnt do such simple math wrong becauase that would be embarassing :S I guess its almost time to say good bye to a few strands that have reached the end of their life span...
Mine is 5 !
It's not difficult as long as you know your annual growth rate and the length of your longest strands. Length of longest strands / annual growth rate = age.
I see you divided your length by my annual growth rate (which is quite slow). A growth rate of 12-15 cm's (or about 6 inches) a year is much more average. You've probably still got lot's of growth left in those hairs!!
About 7. (more words)
I can't remember how long my hair is exactly I'm rounding it to 24". At 6" a year, my ends are 4 years old. Which means I still have a hell of a lot of chemical damage on my hair I didn't realise that
Hanging out around BSL and just going with the flow.
My hair grow about 1 to 2 cm a month. I do not know how long it is. But I had very short hair when I was 24 and I am now 28 so the oldest of my hair can not be older than 5 years. However if human hair can not get older than six years, how come there are pepole with hair past their knees, or even to the floor and beyond, that takes longer than six years to grow.
Mine is exactly 2 years old.
