Ah ok, thank you! Mine is wavy but not half as long as knee length lol...I just check out this thread for long term inspiration!
But anyway if just a couple will hold it I'm gonna try them for sure!
I'm trying to collect a bunch of different u-pins to test against each other.
Much love to all my fellow long hair peoples!

A long time ago I found a packet of silicone-coated U pins that were AMAZING - they had way more grip than the metal ones, but not so much they couldn't slide out of my hair. I haven't seen them in 10 years though... it's my hair-equivalent of "the one who got away"

I think you can buy silicone dip, so if you got that you'd just need the right size/shape of pins and you could make your own...

...I wonder if maybe one of the reasons i'm having trouble getting more length is because my hair sometimes hits the floor when I'm sitting down while drying it? It's hard to see behind me to tell if that's what's happening... but I can't think of any alternatives either.

Are you able to air-dry overnight? Obviously that would still be on the floor too, but you can make sure it's on satin to reduce friction - if you don't move about too much in your sleep, of course.
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...

No, my hair doesn't dry while I'm asleep, and the tangles would be H O R R I B L E. For reference, that's in comparison to the hour it usually takes me when combing out hair that's been braided since the last time I combed it.

Oh I see! In that case, if you can put down something smooth like satin behind you before you sit down - probably a bit of a pain, but it might help mitigate some friction damage maybe.
