This also reminds me of when me and my best friend were 12 we would go swimming and then run inside to straighten our wet hair...we thought the steam and sizzling meant it was working he he he...good times. I paid the price of that for years!

Got bored with my hair a year or so ago.....decided dreads were a good idea (which i already knew it wasn't).
When they didn't dread fast enough I decided it was a good idea to bleach the bottom half.... bad idea nr 2.
AAAAAAND then I realised I do not have the patience to keep up with dreads aaaaaand combed them all out...
For which I also do not have the patience so I ended up with damaged, broken, sad hair, which ended up APL instead of the wl at which I started......
Still working with the joys of that decision to this day

I was probably about 12 when this happened but I have baby hairs around my hairline that refuse to grow longer than a few inches, and I was so annoyed by them because they kept getting in my face that I pulled them out and ended up with a bald patch in my hairline. The hairs grew back, and nowadays I use bobby pins to pin them back or better yet, use hairbands

I did my haircut myself and ruined my hair. Then I have started using hair extensions.

I voted in this poll but apparently never answered?

    Color.
First semester of university, decided to switch from dyeing my hair using conventional box dyes to henna with no experience or help and ended up with the splotchiest most horrendous color on my waist-length hair. there was no saving it. a pixie ensued and I never colored my hair again (with the exception of a few highlight/lowlight periods in my mid/late 20s which required no maintenance and grew out perfectly on their own).

Cut and color. Waiting for the bleach/chop to grow out is painful. It will be a year next month after the chop, and I decided to make the growing in slower by adding bleach damage four months later. Never again, my natural hair hardly ever splits, now its a splitfest.

Wasn't allowed to dye my hair when I was young...so I put a TON of sun-in in my hair. Results were years of hair loss unfortunately. It took all of high school to bounce back from that and a bad perm.

Oh man, Sun-In! I don't think there was ever a year of high school I didn't have orange hair.

When I was younger my hair was really thick and long most likely classical length. I remember sitting on it most of the time. In high school I had decided to start cutting my hair short, and at that time also noticed the thickness of my hair. So I made the decision to have my hair thinned with the razor comb. Worst decision ever! I still really love my long hair, but wish it was thicker.
