6 inches to waist!! I'm soo excited

Although, I might be closer, I haven't measured in a while...
Anyway, I've been at BSL practically my entire life, I was at waist once, but then I chopped it all off to shoulder.... I was young and naive... But once I had it back at BSL, I kept it there. Now I want to get it back to waist, and I'm just so close! But so far away...
I have the average 0.5in hair growth per month, some months I even get 1 full inch, so about 12 more months maybe less!

Argh! I just measured, and I'm still only barely 28"! Waist for me is 29-ish, but it won't start to LOOK like waist until 30". I was hoping to be at waist by mid June.

Oh well. Time to take stock of my diet and see what I'm missing. Onward and hopefully downward...

Just measured my hair and I'm at 26" now. The last time I measured was May 26 and it was 25", so... 1" growth in roughly one and a half months.

6 inches to go! If my growth rate remains the same (and if I calculated correctly) I should be at waist in about 8 or 9 months.

Adding myself to this thread now. I just discovered yesterday that I am officially BSL and have about 4-5 inches until I am solidly at waist.

I'm signing in to this thread as well. Finally reached BSL, though I still have a lot of layers in the front, but the back part is 1cm below my usual bra-strap (stretched, because my hair is a bit wavy).

I had DH measue for me tonight. I'm finally officially 28" (just over 71cm) Yay! Only 2" more to waist!!!
I was going to keep from triming till I get there, but after I finish the tedious process of a whole-head S&D (will take several weeks), I'll dust if my ends are thin. But only once I'm a bit over 28".

How is everyone doing?

I've agreed with the advice I received here and decided not to trim until I reach my goal if I don't get split ends, so I'm in, too!

I'm creeping closer to waist but now my ends are really bad. I can't find any split but my ends keep tangling. They usually stop tangling after a trim. I guess I just suck at s&d. I really don't want to trim until I'm a little past waist. Any tips for someone who can't find their splits? I was thinking of doing that thing where you twist the hair and cut the hairs that pop out. Does that work?
