Congrats! That's great progress! It does feel like this stage takes forever, so it must be a relief to escape it.

Hi, I'm a newbie here but my hair is comfortably midback length so I guess this is the thread for me at the moment! (once I've figured out all the image-hosting stuff then maybe I'll pluck up the courage to post a picture...)

By the way, with wavy or curly hair, would you measure your length by pulling the hair straight, or leaving it where it naturally falls? I'm getting pretty close to waist length if I pull it or if my hair's been straightened, but most of the time it looks much shorter than that due to waviness.

    Welcome
If I feel like measuring at all - I very rarely do that- then I measure stretched hair.
I rather go after body milestones and call them separately- right now I'm probably really close to waist when wet and stretched, but on dry waves - just a bit past BSL.

Welcome to the thread! I measure stretched because my shrinkage is very strong and once it gets to my shoulders curly, it just sits there. It did so the first time I was at TBL and I have no doubt it'll do so again.

Thank you! My hair is at similar lengths to yours so I think I'll call them separately too.

Thanks! That definitely makes sense to measure stretched if there's a lot of shrinkage

Okay, I hope this works! Photo of my midback length, messy hair (I should probably have taken this during the daytime, it's really dark... oh well)

Thank you! It's thick enough that sometimes I feel like there's too much hair

I have thick hair, too, but we're told it's a blessing. I love the color of yours. Mine is boring medium brown. I want darker.
