“Until the end of the year” lol, sounds hilarious a year and a half later but I MADE IT Y’ALL!

My hair is a bit wet here still but I couldn’t wait because the sun goes down pretty quickly these days and it also happens to be my two year LHC anniversary so double yay!
I’m also going to throw in my hair typing photo from when I first joined because it’s such a great way to illustrate that LHC magic

So thank you everyone for your wisdoms and on to hip I go!

It’s definitely starting to feel long, but for some reason it still kinda looks the same to me as it did in the older photos Good thing I’m wearing the same pants and am standing in the same spot, otherwise I’d think it’s just a funny angle or head tilt or something and not actual growth lol.
I wonder how long it will have to get for me to think it looks long…

That’s an interesting observation… My instinct says the waves depend mostly on the condition of my hair - when it dries out it gets straighter. But now that you mentioned it, last time my hair was at this length was January 2020 (haven’t had it longer than that since I was a kid) and in the worst state it’s ever been in, but it was also the curliest, like a solid 2c.

That being said, it’s also curliest while it’s air drying, which is the case in the WL photo, whereas in the MBL one it was a day or two after washing. ETA: The APL hair typing photo is also air drying actually, but it hasn’t been styled, which the WL has. I should do a new hair typing session soon

But either way, I’m curious to see what happens next!

And yea, the LHC-itis is highly infectious lol, when I first joined waist was actually my goal length but that changed to hip, then TBL within days

Maybe it's the angle but it already looks like its waist length to me. I've noticed it's pretty common that people mistake waist for hip waist is shorter than people expect

Yep, that looks like it is already waist length, lurkinghair, especially since it is curly!
