... The spock wrap is not an official bun. The Spock bun is. It is just a wrap executed with the two fingers of a vulcan salute but there is no thumb involved. So just do the first step and wrap the rest rather softly around the first loop keeping the hair close to the head, then put stick through the two finger loop and the wrap loop.

I think it's an official bun! It may have been the first bun I learned to make once I joined LHC and became introduced to this magical world of "proper buns".
