I did loosen it up that night and try again and I liked the result. I will post a pic a little later when I can get on my phone. I really like rose buns. Finally have enough length to make them really look "rosey."

Jane_marie that is a really pretty bun!! Very sleek and I like the wide moon shape the loosely wrapped part makes on the right.

I also just learned to do a LWB (from the same tutorial posted by MusicalSpoons), and I'm excited about that, so here it is, in the sunshine:

Thanks for your answer. It makes sense of course, because the bun is just like the lazy wrap bun without the thumb. And yes, it has the same meaning (wickeln=wrap).

Thanks, my hair changes tone based on the lighting. It looked warm in the sun, but it's normally neutral/cool toned!
Your rose bun looks beautiful, shiny, and thick!

Thank you! It is indeed a really similar colour to my hair. It's my only hairstick, because I'm only now starting to learn how to use them, but I just ordered a few more!

Thank you! I got 2 wooden hair sticks with resin on top, and one wooden fork with a resin moon on top. I've never used a fork before, looking forward to trying all 3, and I'll definitely post some pictures!
