    Default Buns for BSL?

I swear, I had searched high and low before posting this

What kind of buns are suitable for BSL? So far, I've only managed to create a so-so Lazy Wrap and <S>crappy</S> wonky cinnabun. My hair is definitely too short for Infinity, Gibraltar or Spidermom's buns (I have some layers).

Any input would be much appreciated!

I only have not-quite- APL-hair, but I can do a summer flower bun, a cheaater's split bun, and a ballet bun (maybe also called a pencil bun?) which I put a stick through, so I'm sure you could do at least these...

I've been braiding my hair and pulling it into a bun from there. I'm a bit below BSL, but with a tight braid/french braid your layers shouldnt fall out. Hope that helps some.

There was a similar post not very long ago. Perhaps you could get some ideas from that one?

Split buns, braids then bunned were both good once I was at BSL. Along with the LWB those are my staple updos and have been since around BSL.

Could you perhaps point me to some tutorials on these buns? TIA!!

All the buns in my "Updos" album were done on my BSL hair. I don't have real layers, though - just some uneven-ness.... Chopandchange had pointed out in the "braid picture" thread that if she made a bit of a high ponytail first, it helped even out the layers.

Marjolein, there are lots of bun tutorials in the "Articles" section. Also, youtube is a good source.

Well, if you can't do an infinity bun at BSL, then you likely have thicker hair than I, so I can't suggest the same updos that I could do when I was at BSL.

I might suggest a French Twist, a Folded Braid, a Hairstick Wrap or a Gibson Tuck. There are others, but I can't think of them at the moment.
