Thank you! I'm not sure I've tried tucking pigtails before, but hopefully I'm understanding it correctly - will give it a go some time!

Good luck giving it a try, Glitch!

Basically just to hide the hair ties underneath the braid from the opposite side…. I was surprised how well they blended actually. I also took a photo of the ‘neat looking’ side, the other side had a weird bulge when I flipped it if I use this for dressing up, I will pay closer attention to details like that.

Over 20 yrs ago, I did teach myself how to do what I thought was a french braid on myself (it’s a dutch braid) still can’t do a french braid on myself or a dutch braid on others…. No matter how I try, my brain-to-hand gets stuck, and neither way is it very neat. Here’s to learning more tricks!

Ohhh, that makes perfect sense! Thanks so much for taking the time! It's an amazing hairstyle for sure, and reading your exp, somehow I feel hope that I can accomplish it as well (I'm not very talented in the hair-do department hahah).

Long time no see! I haven't been on LHC for a year, life has been crazy (more info on my blog!)

But this is what I'm working with nowadays -

A single dutch braid looks so cool from behind, but from the front I just look bald
    Next goal: 34" - Hip

Your double dutch are almost perfect and you have a nice color !
One meter reached in June 2021. Cut it to waist and now I'm at 86cm at the beginning of the hip.

I don't know if this will be helpful- I've learnt that a French or Dutch braid looks best on me if I keep my usual side part. Once I've finished I loosen some sections around my face to create some volume where it's most flattering (I have a longish face so width is my friend). So now they don't look so extreme.
Grow grow grow, where it stops no body knows.
