Ooooh I love this, they did a great job, your hair colour makes the braids pop! The flowers at the end are a nice touch too

    Wow, that came out great!

Darn hair dressers and their misplaced bra straps... Looks like it'll be longer between hair cuts this time, with an extra 6 inches to regrow!

EliseMarie braiding is a great way to change up hair without heat styling or dye. The braid looks good, braiding shorter hair is a challenge, all the little pieces wanting to drop out!
paulownia looks lovely, the way it curves looks so lively! I reckon that's what hairdresser's are trying to portray when they try to add "movement" to hair!

I tried a 9 strand dutch braid (video) for the first time. I feel like it would look better on slightly longer hair, but I don't know if I'd have the patience
Your ability to do this is truly bad*ss, I LOVE this and your hair is gorgeous!
And thank you for all the compliments! Still wearing the braids Tuesday evening, got them done Saturday morning, but I'm considering taking them out, getting pretty fuzzy.

OK, this is nowhere near as intricate and perfect as other braids on this thread, but here is my first attempt at a Dutch braid for a good many years. I feel like I've got a lot of work to do on improving my hand placement and keeping the braid tight to my head as it curves around my ear, but I'm fairly happy about it for now!

I watched a little tutorial on it, and she recommended using makeup around the hairline to fill in any thin patches - I didn't do that, but now, looking at this photo, maybe I should have!

    Looks cleaner than my braids.

I don't see what you're talking about. Looks like a normal hairline to me. You don't need to fill anything in. Anyway, the braid itself looks nice and I like the way it frames your face.
