Lizard your braid is SOO THICK! It's beautiful, even w/ the wispies...

Here's a store that sells it in Australia. Im sure it would be easy enough to get anywhere in the world. https://www.sewuniquefabrics.com.au/...-over-elastic/
Interesting, thanks for the tip. Did you sew the ends together or did you just tie a bow?

Lace braided rope. This would probably be beautiful as a side bun on the opposite side from the lace to balance it out. I would wear that for a formal even or even just to dress up.

Little one is sporting lace double ropes at preschool today. She gets to wear all the cute styles. It really helps keep the hair out of her face, which keeps her from scratching her face up if her nails get jagged. Plus, it's fun.
The braids look beautiful I think I've never tried one. Did they hold up in preschool, are they sturdy?

So nice! And so cute that you two were matching.

Just a simple knot at the end. I leave enough of the two pieces so it looks a little bow like.

Yes! But I sprayed her hair with rose water so it was a little damp. Doing her hair when it's damp or wet helps it stay better and look cleaner.

Haha. It's fun to play with her hair and she likes to look "just like mama" sometimes.

Thanks for the advice, maybe I'll try this. Does it also reduce shredding?

It does for us. I think it helps get all the little pieces into the braid to begin with. It helps the hairs stick together.
