Turned out I used way to much oil in my hair to protect it from the sulfate wash.
It isn't extremely bad, but it looks a bit oily now.

Since I don't feel like washing it again/I might as well do so after swimming I'm braiding it so I don't have to deal with it.
I keep getting my dutch braid off centre, other than that I like how it turned out.

    Wow that's a gorgeous braid!
I can't even braid a regular braid on the back of my head, I am only able to do a messy side braid lol.

Yours do look shiny, and very neat!

I don't know what I was doing this morning. I wanted something with braids on the sides. The barrette is one I got from a dude ranch I went to with my mom some 17 years ago. I don't know if it's real horsehair or not but it's a nice reminder of the trip.

    Wow! Y'all got skills!

It was actually really easy. Just regular English braids and rope braids.

That is a very nice braid. I'm looking forward to mine getting so long.

I decided it was time to take a picture of my Dutch braid again. It's been nearly a year and it's fun to see how long it's gotten.

Beautiful braids, Amaryllis, Debby and Copper! Wonderful skills

Copper I really like the look of how your braid starts at the top of the back of your head rather than on top if that makes sense? That kind would look better on me. (If that’s even what you did? Anyway I love it).

I tried a rope braid for my LARP character on wet hair, mods lemme know if the pic isn't OK I know my face is half-visible and I forgot the policy on face pics.

Thedebby it looks very neat and not overly oily either! Mine sometimes come off to one side and I'll just wear it as a side braid and go with it
Copperbutterfly, your Dutch braid is so shiny and thick all the way down, lovely.
Growing out I love your hooded shawl? Cloak? Its lovely as is your rope braid. I do hope showing your face is ok as I have done so a few occasions

I didn't know there was a policy on face pics. What is it?
