Has anyone used this henna before?

It looked very tempting, so I bought it. And smells to die for .
Apart from henna it contains: oudh powder, zafran, rose powder.
Can I assume it will give red colour?
I don't want my hair to turn brown or black
Hi red cat if you can take a picture of the writing on the henna clearly so I can read it I can tell you exactly what to expect form it.. It seems to me to have Arabic writing on it and I can help with that.

I have three different 100g shipments coming my way, so maybe I'll try one full treatment and see what happens. Or maybe I'll try 50g mixed into a 'gloss', once a week for the next six weeks, to try to build up color. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do with the henna on the way to me!
I feel the same confusion. I was always told you don't date henna, you marry it so I always go back and forth on what I want to do. BUT I'm also really impatient and when I want to try something I like to take the plunge right away.

I mixed up 200g of Rajasthani Twilight with 3-4 cups of hot red zinger tea (8 tea bags?). Let it release for 30-60 minutes on my counter and tossed it in the freezer. Thawed it and mixed in 5 Tbsp of coconut oil. Washed my hair and let it dry just a tiny bit and applied the mud. I used half of what I made and froze the rest. I wrapped it up in Saran wrap and donned a shower cap. I added a hot towel on top for about an hour (swapping out fresh hot towels from the dryer) then just relaxed. It was on for a total of 5 hours then I rinsed with water and then conditioner.

I noticed a big difference from my before color but it went from way orange to deeper over the next few days as it oxidized. I do love the color especially since I had blonde highlights and my natural hair is dark brown. At least I think it's dark brown? I just wonder... What if I did one more full head app... Or what would a gloss do?

I need to figure out how to post pictures. Off to check that out next.

I can't wait to see what you end up doing

My only problem is that my roots were already darker then the rest of my hair. So you can see a bit of a difference. What makes more sense. Doing another full head application? Just doing my length? Or maybe just a gloss?? I don't need them to match. Just be less noticeable.
I'm in the same boat as you although I'm thinking of lightening my roots by a level or 2 since I really like the color of my length. My roots are so dark. Decisions. Decisions.

For those of you who are happy with your color and now just doing roots only touch ups every month or two, how much henna (or in my case henna/cassia blend) do you use for roots only? I used 100 grams of a nightblooming blend for the first two full head/length applications (APL) and I'm thinking I'll probably do roots only from now on. I was wondering if I need 50 grams for roots only, or if 25 grams is usually enough (or some other quantity less than 100g). Thanks.

I usually use two to three spoons of powder henna for my roots.. Tablespoons... But you can also mix a little more and use what you need then freeze the rest in a ziplock bag. It will keep for a very long time in the freezer and next time you need it just thaw it and use it. The color is always stronger after freezing it

I'm so exited! Right now I'm sitting in front of my pc doing my first henna/indigo treatment ever I hope to get my brown/red hair black.
The henna is mixed with black tea and I plan on leaving it on my head for at least 4 hours and then use the indigo right after.
My biggest concern right now is that this treatment will dry out my hair. Has anyone some tips on how to "recover" henna/indigo hair afterwards?
I know that it's not good to use oils for the next 48 hours after dying. But I want to treat my lengths somehow in order to prevent dryness.

I tend to need about 30g or so for my roots, but my husband goes a little overboard. XD I could probably get away with 25g with more precision in the application.
