    LHC name: Hellebore

Current hair length: 21" (22" when wet)

    Goal hair length: TBL...maybe classic

When did you start growing your hair? 2017

What is your average monthly growth rate? Not sure. I'm probably at the average .5 inch a month though

Do you trim your hair, if so how often? Usually only once a year to clean up, but I recently did a trim at six months because my fringe was really ugly and botched from a previous cut. It looks way better now and the stylist was good about preserving my length.

What supplements do you take? Just a daily multivitamin that includes biotin. I also take spirulina but I have no idea if that helps with hair

Do you eat any special foods for hair growth/nutrition etc? Nope! Just try to eat healthy overall.

Do you do scalp massages? Yes! I have a scalp massager that I keep in the shower.

What is your favourite shampoo? I'm actually still struggling with this. I haven't found anything that I'm absolutely in love with yet.

What is your favourite conditioner? Same issue as shampoo

Favourite leave-in conditioner? I don't know if it counts, but I use Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Detangler + Air Dry and I absolutely love it! My hair dries with absolutely no frizz when I use this stuff.

Favourite deep conditioner or treatment? I don't really have one. I just kind of pick up what's on sale.

What are your favourite basic oils? Castor oil, avocado oil

What are your favourite essential oils? Peppermint, Lavender, Rose

What is your favourite product of all time? Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Detangler

What is your least favourite product of all time? Acure Curiously Clarifying shampoo. This stuff makes my hair frizz like crazy.

Is there anything you would never put on your hair? (-cones/quats etc) Besides bleach, no.

What do you like most about your hair? It's stick straight, which makes it easy to braid

What do you like least about your hair? It's very fine and prone to breakage, although less so since I stopped abusing it with baking soda

Do you colour your hair? I do a natural black dye once every couple of months. No bleach.

Do you clarify? Yes, but less so since I don't use as much hair product as I used to.

How often do you wash your hair? About once a week

How long does it take to dry? About an hour-ish? Perks of having fine hair and not a lot of it I guess.

Do you prefer you hair up or down? Up for the most part. Thanks to LHC I'm learning new ways to put my hair up.

What is your favourite updo? a side herringbone braid

Bangs or no bangs? Nooooo my cowlicks won't stand for bangs.

Whose hair at LHC do you aspire to? Pretty much everyone here! You all have such beautiful hair

Do you keep a hair journal? Nah.

How many hairtoys do you own? Too many

What is your favourite hairtoy? The antler hair stick that was eaten by my dog . I need to pick up another one soon.

Brush or comb? Trusty wood comb

Do you use hot styling aids on your hair irons/blowdryer etc? Blow dryer once a month.

Do you make/sell any hair care products? I'm not nearly talented enough for that, but my boyfriend is a leather worker and is going to start making hair slides for me!

What is the last hair-related thing that you bought? avocado and castor oil

What’s your favourite kind of cheese? Brie forever

Share a funny/inspiring/shocking hair story if you have one: Five years ago when I first met my boyfriend, I had waist-length hair and he was close to a buzz cut. Six months into the relationship I cut all my hair off, while he was continuously too lazy to get a haircut. By year three I had the short hair, while he had waist-length hair. His long hair kept my braiding skills fresh, as he had no idea what he was doing in that department. After four years he finally decided to cut it all off (the longest part was TBL when wet) while I had been growing mine out, so we're (almost) back to where we started when we first started dating. I also inherited all of his fancy brushes, clips, and haircare products once he made the chop, so hooray!

Share a funny/inspiring/shocking hair story of you have one: I have a longtime old church girlfriend that had brown ankle length hair as a child. When she got to high school she started colouring her hair a beautiful bright red, and I also had a good girlfriend from high school that had the most beautiful dark brown hip length hair! When we first met it was curly, and during her senior year she had gotten it chemically-straightened. From then on I've always admired her beautiful hair!

Share a funny/inspiring/shocking hair story if you have one:

I was washing my hair in the sink, due to us renovating the bathrooms, and I ended up getting my hair caught on the disposal blades. I lost a small chunk of hair, and so now if I wash my hair in the sink, I keep a drain catcher, or rubber plug in there to keep my hair from getting caught on all the cogs and gears down there.

    LHC name: SleepyTangles

Current hair length: Shaggy overgrown pixie (covers my ears perfectly)

Goal hair length: Waist or hip length (depends how much wave and bounce it will retain at hip length, last time I grew it out it was too straight for my liking once it grew past waist)

When did you start growing your hair?: April 2019. Funny enough, last time it was April 2012 (until autumn 2017)

What is your average monthly growth rate?: 1 cm, more or less

Do you trim your hair, if so how often?: no trims until it touches the base of the neck. Then none until APL. I trim my bangs every month, tough.

What supplements do you take?: No supplements for hair-related reasons. I´ve been anemic and I´ve took iron supplements, but currently I want to see if I can supply it by diet alone.

Do you eat any special foods for hair growth/nutrition etc?: I try to not skin on animal proteins (cheese, pasture milk, free-range eggs, red meat). Quality over quantity.

Do you do scalp massages?: occasionally, if my scalp is not fussy at the moment.

What is your favourite shampoo?: currently I´m in a rut. No shampoo feels unique. I like MaterNatura shampoos, the Organic Shop and some cone-free Garnier to clarify from time to time.

What is your favourite conditioner?: Hair is currently too short to need conditioner. Before, it was LaSaponaria Lemon and Moringa conditioner.

Favourite leave-in conditioner?: Biofficina Toscana Kiwi Leave in Conditioner

Favourite deep conditioner or treatment?: white full-fat yogurt, honey, a spoonful of any herb or clay (powdered rose petals, kaolin, whatever)

What are your favourite basic oils?: Avocado and jojoba.

What are your favourite essential oils?: true lavender (lavanda officinalis, not spicata, hybrida, etc), true mint (not peppermint, mentha officinalis), chamomile. Lemon+basil, lemon+vanilla, litsea+mint, pine tree+mint are all lovely.

What is your favourite product of all time?: when I used to color my hair, BAQ henna. Still unmatched. Colourless "henna" (cassia, ziziphus, etc) doesn´t give the same results, period.

What is your least favourite product of all time?: gee, I don´t remember. Probably a very poorly sifted batch of ziziphus, the nerve of it.

Is there anything you would never put on your hair? (-cones/quats etc): cones, quats, petrochemicals, synthetic dyes, paraphenilediamines, hot/chemical straighteners, hot/chemical curlers. Not a fan of undiluited essential oils either.

What do you like most about your hair? Texture probably: fine hair is very nice to the touch. I also like a lot the first silvers that have started peeking trough

What do you like least about your hair?: It´s not thick as I want. I would have liked a lower hairline also

Do you colour your hair? Nope. not against it tough.

    Do you clarify?
    Yes, when I need.

How often do you wash your hair?
when I need it, usually every other day. I go to the gym almost every day

How long does it take to dry?
Right now one hour is enough to air-dry it completely

Do you prefer you hair up or down? D
    own, I think its prettier

    What is your favourite updo?
Used to be the Nautilus. I always admired crown twists but I was never able to do one.

    Bangs or no bangs?

Everybody has such pretty hair, I can´t decide.

I was on a student exchange in Denmark, I had to do a photo for the bus subscription. I had my hair in a bun and silver earrings. The photographer asked me to remove the earrings, so I asked if i could just cover it with my hair. He agreed and i removed the hairstick keeping the bun up. His eyes went out of the sockets, his face was hilarious.
