Reviving this old thread with some pictures of an antique Victorian silver boar bristle hairbrush that I bought. It has passed through multiple disinfecting methods without losing more than a few bristles, which I think stands as a testament to the amazing quality of the brush itself! I have boiled it in hot water at least 3 times, frozen it for 2 weeks straight, given it countless washes with my shampoo, and a few vinegar baths as well as both baking and washing soda soaks
. At this point, I think its cleaner than my old hair brushes! As of now, its being displayed among my hair stuff, and I hope to use it soon (after it has “aired out” a little more
)!
