I have APL length hair, and I always wear my hair up. I almost never have it down--and never have. I have worn it up since it could go up, basically.

It's been easier to just have it up, but it's pretty down

At home it's usually down, unless I'm outside.

Anywhere else it's tied in a knot to keep it out of the way.

My hair is almost waist and I haven't worn my hair loose/down (except for air drying after wash or brushing/combing.) in more than a year. I always wear a braid or bun. even to parties and weddings, my hair loose is a tangled mess after 5 hours. so to protect my hair i keep it either braided or bunned.

My hair is just barely BSL, and half the time I have it up, half the time I have it down. Lately though, as it's gotten longer, I've been wearing it up more often because it gets in the way a lot.

I've noticed this also and I've learned its to take better care/prevent damage from being down. It's like velcro and gets stuck on everything. But depending on how its worn up that can do it damage also. I have to wear mine out of the way for work also but prefer it down. I sometimes put it in loose piggy braids.

Wearing my hair up far more is probably the biggest change I've made to my routine since finding LHC. Half-up has been my basic go-to style for 20+ years, and now it's become my special-occasion do. I did half-up today (now held with an elastic, not a destructive french clip!) for the first time in weeks, spent much of the day outside in the wind, and was aghast at how tangled it was when I got home! It is amazing how quickly one's standards can change, no?

Yeah, this. I used to wear my hair loose every day to school (it was just shy of waist length, or actually waist), and I never minded the tangles - just ripped a brush through them at will...! I couldn't bear it now!

I voted that I sometimes wear my hair down. My hair seems to tangle and get caught in things really easily, and since it's very thin and not full looking at all, I tend to wear my hair in either a pony tail, or up so it doesn't get caught so much.

my hair is between BSL and classic (and closer to classic than BSL, hurray!) and I mostly wear it up.

wearing my hair up in buns nearly constantly is the reason why my hair is long today. if anyone asks me "how did you get your hair so long?" my answer is "Wear it in a bun nearly every day for five years."

My hair is stuck between tailbone and classic, and I sometimes wear my hair down (about twice a week) but keep it up on the days I work.
