Redheads: real and fake ones

Often. I don't get comments every day, or even every week, since I generally see the same people. But today I went to the doctor and two different people commented on my hair color within about 15 minutes.

It's only been recently that the "your hair is long" comments are catching up to the color comments, which I've gotten all my life.

For the record, my hair is naturally auburn (natural color in profile pic), with henna on top.

All the time. Even though I wear it up every day, I get a lot of compliments on the color. Usually followed by...."How long is it? Can I see it?"

Okay....whatever.

@the OP, My hair can get reddish highlights with the right moisture/lighting and people always point it out, but don't really gush over it. I guess because it's auburn and not a red red

My hair is red naturaly and has been my whole life. Its a part of my personality and i love it. If I wasn't a red-head I'm not sure if I would be the smae person.

I have naturaly red haid, and have had it all my life. It's a part of my personality. If my hair wasn't red I don't know if I would be the same person if I I wasn't a red-head.

When I had red hair I got compliments on it nearly everyday. When I had pink hair it lots of positive comments everyday, and mostly from complete strangers. Even had a guy outside Hamley's in London shout down his megaphone about how I had "the most amazing hair in the world". Now I'm back to brunette I miss all the lovely comments, I only get a few a week usually on length and condition.

I think it's the length combined with a bright colour that gets people's attention. Especially little girls. They love very long hair, especially when it's pink. I guess I was like a real life barbie for a while lol!

Whenever I colored my hair in the past, no one would notice (mostly I dyed it black or dark brown) those colors would fade to my own color and I would dye it black again, from dark blond to black is quite a difference not to notice! When I went from black, fading black, to red again nearly no one noticed, weird!

I've been getting compliments on my orange-red haircolour ever since I lightened my hair to that colour. Both in real life and here on LHC, everyone loves it! But most importantly, I really love it.

I definitely love being a redhead now, even if I'm not a natural one. My natural colour is jet black, but I was never happy with it. Black is simply way too dark for my personality. I love lighter, warmer colours, and now I feel that my outside matches my inside.
