Finally getting to where my lazy wrap buns hold rock solid all day. Now it's my go-to bun. Great way to show off beautiful hair sticks.

    Hurray! I've reached waist-land! Last trim 1-2-23.

I've reached it. The length. I can't function with my hair down anymore. I tried to leave it down to airdry after a morning wash and it keeps getting everywhere.

Learned a Gibraltar bun! ...I think. It's a bit tight, probably should have a bit more length to loosen it up, but it feels incredibly sturdy. Fun!

Since clarifying my hair and finding a gentler shampoo, my hair and scalp are very happy. It's not really a milestone but I am actually not disliking my hair at the moment, for the first time in years, so it feels big to me.
Also, I think I might be able to stretch out my washes significantly. My usual mid week wash is supposed to be in 24 hours but I think I'm going to skip it because my hair and scalp don't feel like they need it. Not even close.

My hair finally hits 100cm, well, the longest racer is actually 100.5cm, I thought I’d be much happier, but after covid my shedding got much worse and my pony circumference shrunk from 10.6cm to 9.8cm in a matter of a month, I also have been having trouble sleeping while worrying about my dad’s post chemo conditions. For the past two months, I have been cramping in a narrow crib inside my parents’ bedroom, this way I can help my dad whenever he needs me. My spine takes a bad turn. I haven’t been able to go to sleep before 2am, not to mention the 5-6 times of startling wakening in the middle of the night. Let’s hope February will be much better.

Congrats on 100cms. I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling, it will get better

tuanyiji I'm sorry to hear about your challenges. I think I also increased shedding after covid, you're not alone there
I hope things settle for you soon. My dad also went through Chemo and was very unwell, it was a very difficult time for everyone. It was a few years ago now. I admire your care and your efforts for your family and your resilience. It sounds like you are so exhausted but you are still there for your dad. I hope you're able to get some restful sleep soon. I am sending you and your family my best wishes and hopes for better times ahead.

Thank you both very much, it meant a lot to me. I might no longer be here as frequently as I used to be, but this community will stay a treasured part in my heart.
