When I tip my head back, my longest strands reach tailbone.
My family has been marveling at my hair this past year as it's the longest it's been in my life - I'm 23 - but I still consider it to be relatively short.
Today, I let my hair down from its bun for the first time during a break at work and my coworker brushed past me and said "Your hair is so long! It's pretty."
I was so taken aback that I stuttered out a thank you and had the biggest smile on my face while walking back from my break. First non-family member to comment on my hair and helped me realize I'm at a noticeable length!
My hair is now too long for my sleep bun, which I've been fighting for the past few weeks and doing it anywaymy sleep bun was pretty much a pony on the top of my head with the last of my hair pulled halfway through to make a loop, the loop is too big and floppy
DH suggested doing a "real bun" or a braid, so I dutch braided it last night. I think I might need to break out a ficcare for sleep bun 2.0... maybe my larges would work again?![]()

Learning to love my hair after a big chop & enjoying the journey
That's a mini-milestone for sure, growing out of a style! By the way, your hair is very, very pretty, the kind of hair I'd like to have if I didn't have my own :-)
I just saw I am moving past BCL. So, from here on I think my journey will be more fun, since I am now moving past what's "normal" lenght. Next mini milestone will be sitting on my hair, I guess...?
My braid tassel is below the bottom of my bra band.
